Aliweld Power is a specialist in the supply, modification, and installation of isolated phase bus ducting (IPB) for power stations and large scale electrical infrastructure. Our team has worked on numerous generator circuit breaker (GCB) replacement projects, IPB upgrades, and new installations.

We have successfully completed many projects in coal, hydro, gas, power stations, both new builds and retro-fit situations.

We supply IPB components including elbows, straight runs, expansion joints and terminals. All ducting is custom fabricated and welded onsite by our certified team. We have partnered on major IPB projects across Australia with OEMs such as Siemens, ABB and Hitachi, reinforcing our reputation for technical precision and timely execution.

  • Bus Support Brackets (single and double, for post insulators and disconnector palms)
  • Busbar Support Clamps (clamped and sliding types)
  • Aluminium Flexible Connectors (multiple types for side-mount, top-mount, and disconnector applications)
  • Copper Bonding Leads (single and double hole)
  • Tinned Flexible Connectors — flat braid and round braid
  • Adaptor Plates (aluminium, copper, or steel, custom hole patterns)

FAQ's About Bus Support Brackets & Flexible Connectors

Single support brackets mount on a disconnector palm or post insulator to support one busbar run. Double support brackets are intended for post insulators where a flexible connector links two busbar sections.

Our Type ‘E’ flexible connector is purpose-built for disconnector positions, mounted beneath the disconnector palm with fixed or roller support compatibility.

Yes. Standard current ratings are available across our Type A–E and tinned connector ranges, and custom laminations, stranding, or palm types can be requested.

Adaptor plates can be manufactured in aluminium, copper, or steel, in various thicknesses and custom hole patterns to match your existing assemblies.
